Driving added value to our customers through the talented execution of our employees and the pursuit of providing extraordinary service for our customers is what has built our company and its national reputation for integrity.Job DescriptionAs the Customer Relations & Accounts Receivable Account Specialist, this role is responsible for delivering excellence in service and contributing to the mission of protecting businesses, people and time. This role will work directly with Customer Relations team to reduce delinquent accounts, coordinate payment resolution, and administer communications regarding collection issues, and ensure timely and accurate daily cash applications. The Customer Relations & Accounts Receivable Account Specialist is responsible for collaboration across all levels to achieve departmental and organizational goals.Apply daily cash timely and accuratelyReview customer receivables and coordinate payment resolutionCommunicate with internal and/or external customers and various units regarding collection issuesCollaborate within the Customer Relations team to complete tasks in a timely mannerReduce the delinquency for assigned accounts to achieve organizational goalsFacilitate invoice dispute resolution discussions with the customer, the Field, and the local Customer Relations teamEnlist the efforts of management when necessary to accelerate the collection processFollow work process to communicate and collaborate with employees at all levelsEstablish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customersPerform training as requestedPerform other duties and/or special projects as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required1-3 years call-center, collections and cash application experience preferredStrong customer service skillsBasic knowledge of accounting principles and terminology; strong math skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationIntense focus on accuracy and attention to detail; organizedProblem-solving skillsCritical thinking skillsOutgoing & assertive personality - not afraid to approach individualsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Excel, Word)Experience with Microsoft Great Plains and Salesforce software preferredAdditional Information** THIS ROLE IS 100% IN OFFICE **Become part of a high-performing, collaborative, and well-regarded team that values excellence and camaraderie.This is a 3 month contract positionRecognized Excellence:AWP was proudly named one of America's Greatest Workplaces in both 2023 and 2025, with special recognition for our commitment to diversity and inclusion.AWP Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
