Structural Engineer IILocation: Vandalia OHPay Rate: $55.00/hr.Clearance: Ability to obtain- processing required immediately in DISSPoint Solutions Group (PSG) is aiding their government customer in search of an experienced Structural Engineer II. The selected candidate will use your skills and expertise to design, evaluate, and certify our cutting-edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll examine complex metallic and composite structures and systems. Your technical duties involve the design and development of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.Must-haves:Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering or other related discipline4 or more years of relevant experienceUnderstanding of engineering principles and practicesBasic knowledge of Computer Aided Engineering toolsExperience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teamsStatic strength analysis experienceExperience with classical analysis using industry standard hand calculation methodsPreferred:Liaison Engineering ExperienceAircraft Modification ExperienceExperience in Engineering Simulation using Finite Element structural analysis (FEA) tools such as MSC Patran, Nastran, FEMAP, or ANSYSExperience performing fatigue and damage tolerance analysis utilizing tools such as NASGRO or AFGROWExperience performing dynamic analysis.Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing and production processesAbility to author substantiation reportsBackground in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
