Regional General Manager

General Purpose:The Regional General Manager will work closely with the Troon Operations, Marketing, Agronomic, Human Resources, and Finance Teams to ensure the highest level of guest service, staff training, facility conditions, client relationships, profitability, sales and marketing and reporting systems within the designated region. The Regional General Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Operations for the region.Salary Range: $140,000-$160,000 annuallyEssential Duties:Responsible for achieving regional profitability and operational and cash flow goals. Provide leadership, coaching, and development to General Managers and other key staff within the designated region. Provide regular and ongoing communication regarding corporate and other important business initiatives. Handle guest relations issues as needed. Assist in the development of, and provide oversight for, budgets and business plans. Analyze and summarize the local competitive markets within the region using all available resources to assist the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing with sales and marketing plans and goals. Represent Troon to a wide variety of constituents, including community and political leaders, professional and seasonal staff, prospective clients, concessionaires, and vendors in a professional, friendly, and knowledgeable manner. Communicate with and manage client relationships where applicable and as needed. Communicate with and provide regular reports on all key aspects of the regional business to the Vice President of OperationsIdentify potential business opportunities for Troon in the immediate and surrounding marketplace. Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four-year college or university: and five years of experience and/or training in a public club as a GM or Assistant GM; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Other Qualifications:Must have experience in driving revenue growth and profitability with key focus on pricing and program strategies. Must have direct experience in all key aspects of business management including talent management, operations, agronomy, food and beverage, marketing and sales, cash flow, and full P&L responsibility. Must have proven experience in team building and development. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be highly organized, efficient, and detail oriented. Must have excellent interpersonal/relationship building skills. Must be proficient with technology, including the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs. Must have experience in writing budgets, reports and business plans and analyzing income statements, balance sheets and compliance programs.
