Location: Potsdam, New York Schedule: Day Shifts 8:00 AM 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM 5:30 PM Coverage Dates: Week of May 18, 2026 (3-Day Coverage) Contract: Short-Term Locum Assignment Position Overview We are seeking a Radiation Oncologist (MD/DO) for a short-term locum coverage opportunity in Potsdam, New York. This assignment is designed to provide vacation coverage for an existing physician, offering a flexible and manageable schedule within a supportive oncology clinic environment.The provider will work alongside an experienced clinical team delivering comprehensive radiation oncology care for adult patients. ️ Eligible Provider ️ MD / DO Radiation Oncology ️ Board Eligible or Board Certified ️ Active New York Medical License Required ️ BLS & ACLS Certifications Required ️ Minimum 2 years of recent experience Key Responsibilities ️ Evaluate and diagnose cancer patients requiring radiation therapy Develop personalized radiation treatment plans Oversee radiation therapy treatments and patient care Monitor treatment effectiveness and patient progress Collaborate with oncology teams for comprehensive cancer care Document patient care using the EPIC EMR system Practice Environment Outpatient oncology clinic setting ️ Team structure includes:• 1 Physician• 1 Nurse Practitioner• 1 LPN Average patient volume: patients per day EPIC Electronic Medical Record system Schedule & Coverage 3-day coverage during the week of May 18, 2026 Preferred coverage days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Shift options:• 8:00 AM 4:00 PM• 9:00 AM 5:30 PM No call required Patient Population Adult oncology patients requiring radiation therapy treatment and management. ️ Important Requirements Active New York medical license required prior to start EPIC experience required Strong communication and teamwork skills preferred Additional Highlights Opportunity to support a well-established oncology program Collaborative environment with experienced clinical staff Short, flexible locum assignment ideal for physicians seeking additional coverage work Interested in learning more or submitting a candidate?Feel free to reach out for additional details!
