Roofing Application Engineer (Commercial Roofing)

Position OverviewWe are seeking a Roofing Application Engineer to support our sales team by providing technical expertise in commercial roofing systems. This role will play a key part in bridging technical solutions with customer needs, ensuring successful project delivery and strengthening client relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to the sales team on commercial roofing systems and applicationsAssist in project design, system selection, and specification developmentConduct on-site inspections, troubleshooting, and application guidanceSupport product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer trainingCollaborate with internal teams (R&D, product, and operations) to resolve technical issuesEnsure proper installation practices and compliance with project requirementsParticipate in pre-sales and post-sales technical support activitiesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferredMinimum 3–5 years of experience in commercial roofing or related industryStrong knowledge of roofing systems such as TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, etc.Experience supporting sales teams or working in a technical service role is highly preferredExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to travel locally for project supportPreferred BackgroundCandidates with experience at the following companies or similar organizations are strongly preferred:CarlisleElevate (formerly Firestone Building Products)Johns Manville (JM)GAFOr other commercial roofing contractors in Texas
