Tesseon is a well-established provider of payroll, HR, time and attendance, benefits administration, and HCM solutions. The company has more than 30 years of experience helping organizations manage their workforce with modern technology and a high-touch service model.About the RoleThis role is designed for a sales professional who enjoys prospecting, building pipeline, and guiding clients through a consultative sales process. The right candidate thrives on creating opportunities, owning their results, and closing new business. Sales Consultants have the ability to pursue opportunities anywhere in the United States and build their own book of business.ResponsibilitiesGenerate new business through outbound prospecting including cold calling, email outreach, networking, and referral developmentBuild and manage a healthy pipeline through consistent self-generated activity with supplemental leads from company sourcesLead discovery conversations with business owners and decision-makers to understand payroll, HR, compliance, timekeeping, and workforce management needsSell consultative HCM solutions including payroll, benefits administration, time and attendance, applicant tracking, onboarding, PTO management, and performance managementManage the full sales process from first outreach through proposal discussion and closePartner internally on solution demonstrations and proposal development while maintaining ownership of the client relationshipGather preliminary implementation information after close and coordinate a smooth onboarding handoffDevelop referral and partnership channels over time with accountants, banks, CPAs, and local business partnersQualificationsThree or more years of B2B sales experience in payroll, HCM, HR technology, SaaS, or related consultative sales environmentsExperience with providers such as Paycor, ADP, Paychex, Paylocity, Paycom, or similar platforms Required SkillsStrong hunter mindset with demonstrated outbound prospecting and new business generationProven ability to manage a consultative sales process from lead generation through closeComfort speaking with business owners and leadership teamsSelf-motivated, competitive, and results-orientedPreferred SkillsEnjoy prospecting and building new business opportunitiesAre confident running discovery conversations and consultative sales processesWant autonomy to build their own book of businessAre motivated by performance-based compensation and uncapped earnings Pay range and compensation packageBase salary between $60,000 and $70,000. Uncapped commission based on annual revenue sold. Monthly commission payouts after client launch. Tiered performance bonuses tied to revenue milestones. Typical sales cycle of approximately 90 to 110 days. Strong performers who consistently build pipeline and close business can build substantial income through uncapped commission and recurring revenue payouts.
