Underground Mechanic - Henderson (Colorado)

Job Description Job Title: Underground MechanicDepartment: Site – Henderson (Colorado)Reports to: Project ManagerGENERAL PURPOSE OF THIS JOB (Summary)This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of surface and underground site, mobile equipment related to development. This includes but is not limited to Jumbos, Bolters, LHDs, underground pumps, and other utility equipment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESFunctional ResponsibilitiesUtilizes proper procedures for mechanical duties and strictly adhere to the project lock out policyFollows established procedures in shutting down and disassembling equipment, replacing damaged or worn parts and reassembling equipment replacing damaged or worn parts and re-assembling and testing equipment to perform to required specificationsInspects, lubricates, adjusts and reports any condition that may cause premature breakdownsRepairs, rebuilds, modifies and/or adjusts equipment and parts to suit production requirementsRepairs and maintains all equipment in accordance with the preventative maintenance programEnsure all required logbooks are maintained and updatedSubmits oral and written reports relevant to job dutiesMaintain a high standard of housekeeping in their workplaceUtilize the Cementation safety system as specified within the site safety management systemOther duties as assignedClient FocusProvide professional and courteous interaction with all stakeholdersEnsure work is completed in a timely, efficient, and accurate mannerHealth & SafetyWork in compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations for CementationIncorporate Health and Safety considerations in all functions and daily activities of the positionMonitor work environment for health and safety hazards or infractions and reports the same to Health and Safety DepartmentKeep work area clean and free of clutterUse proper equipment for the job, i.e. stepladder vs. chairQUALIFICATIONSEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma, Technical degree, or equivalent preferredAt least 3 years of mechanical experience requiredCertificate(s), License(s), Registration(s)MSHA Underground Certification requiredTrade CertificateValid Drivers CertificateSkills, Knowledge, & AbilitiesDecision making and prioritization skillsPlanning and organizing skillsPossess problem solving, critical thinking skillsGeneral knowledge of applicable mining regulations, safety codes and actsCementation is an Equal Opportunity Employer
