The non-exempt job classification is covered under The McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA) and the contract's collective bargaining agreement (CBA). Service employees are compensated per the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits that are set by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Wage and Hour Division's WDs 29 CFR Part 541 and 29 CFR 4.163(f), unless otherwise modified by a CBA between labor and management.Job SummaryThis position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines. (SCA 01410)Essential FunctionsResolves discrepancies which includes shortages, overages, duplicate shipments, misdirected shipments, transportation discrepancies, receipt rejects, and misidentified equipment Performs research using ISM, GCSS-ARMY, and FEDLOG/WEBFLISSContacts and coordinates with local and depot level Item Managers, and Installation customers to resolve receiving variancesPrepares various supply and transportation documentationTracking requisition statuses, conducting follow up actions, and receiving suppliesInputs report information, and adjusts within ISM Ensures that proper funding and shipping requirements are met on incoming and outgoing shipmentsPerforming inventory and issuing suppliesWorks closely with Government Inspectors to resolve receipt discrepanciesAssign locations to materials until disposition instructions are received.Performs technical aspects of inventory and storage management functions and conduct causative research for inventory adjustmentsProvides process and inventory analysis and make recommendations for improvementsProvides customer service support on requests for turn ins, inspections, and shipping statusPerforms in storage inspections, minor repair of packaging, and limited testing of material to detect deterioration of material and/or packagingProvides scheduled escorted warehouse visits for customers (as approved) for technical inspections.Communicates with customers, obtaining feedback to measure and improve customer satisfactionApplies real time physical updates to NSN attributes at the bin face to change material identification, unit of pack and unit of issueMaintains site and global records of NSNs, Local Stock Numbers (LSNs), CAGE and part numbers, and service unique stock numbersConducts location surveys (physical verifications) between assets physically in location and recorded in the locator record dataUnderstand and meet established productivity and quality control goals associated with assigned functional area / process.Follow established guidelines in performing day-to-day routine tasks as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Technical Manuals, and Audit Readiness standards, etc.Understand the Acceptable Performance Levels (APL's) associated with assigned functional work areas / process and work expeditiously to meet contractual and team goals.Adhere to government, contract, and company policies and procedures.Ability to use e-mail to receive and disseminate workload tasks and information.Maintain a safe and secure work environment.Perform other duties as assigned in association with established Management and Contract Compliance Plan, and workload requirements, etc.Adhere to PTi quality, safety, and environmental standardsWorking Conditions and Physical DemandsThe employee may be required to frequently handle equipment/supplies weighing up to 75 pounds.Must be able to exert moderate physical effort in the loading, unloading, and arranging of equipment/supplies as applicable to position.Could work inside and/or outside in dirty and dusty environments, and occasionally be exposed to hot, cold, damp, and drafty weather conditions while handling equipment/supplies.Be able to perform work on hard or uneven surfaces.QualificationsExperience:Three (3) years distribution and warehousing experience required. Experience using ISM or other government data systemsExperienced in inventory and/or supply managementExperience using the Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPointSkillsOverall knowledge of ISM/GCSS-ARMY Experience requisitioning material with a National Stock number through-ISMAbility to multi-task and prioritize assignments and inquires throughout the dayBe tactful and cooperative in dealing with others and must be able to discriminate in handling materials documentationMust demonstrate the ability to read, write, and comprehend written instructions, perform common mathematical tasks, and communicate effectively.
