The BOM is responsible for overseeing all the accounts receivable functions of the facility's business office. This role ensures accurate billing, collections, resident account management, and compliance with federal and Oregon state regulations. The BOM plays a key role in maintaining financial integrity while supporting residents, families, and staff with professionalism and efficiency.REQUIREMENTS*2+ years of medical billing and coding experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting including:*Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines, including reimbursement and compliance.*Proven experience in revenue cycle management.*Proficiency in healthcare billing software and Microsoft Office.JOB DUTIES*Manage all aspects of resident billing, including private pay, Medicare, and Medicaid.*Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims in accordance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and Oregon Medicaid guidelines.*Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances to maintain targeted AR days.*Resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and appeals in a timely manner.*Coordinate with clinical and MDS teams to ensure accurate payer source documentation.*Maintain accurate resident trust and personal funds accounts in compliance with state and federal regulations.*Provide clear communication to residents and families regarding billing, insurance coverage, and financial responsibilities.*Assist in the admissions processes, including payer verification and benefit education.*Oversee collections process, including payment plans and follow-up procedures.Prepare and present monthly AR reports and financial summaries to the Administrator.Assist with budget tracking and financial audits as needed.*Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including Oregon Department of Human Services requirements.Maintain audit-ready documentation for billing, resident funds, and financial transactions.Support facility during surveys, audits, and regulatory reviews.PAY$65,000.00 - $83,000.00 per yearPRIORITY OF SERVICEThe Jobs for Veterans Act affords priority of service to covered Veterans and eligible spouses over non-covered persons for the receipt of employment, training, and placement services.
