Android Engineer

Mobile App DeveloperDemonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, improvement, and release of the Sams AndroidApp. Participates in peer code reviews and contributes effectively within an agile setup with designers, product managers, and peer developers. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions. Provides mobile engineering support to the business. Troubleshoots business and production issues for mobile devices.Minimum Education and Minimum Skills required:At least 5 years for mobile app development experience.Experience with mobile software development using Kotlin & Java.Experience using distributed source code version control systems (Git/Github)Experience working within an agile development teamExperience with Google SDKs for Android developmentExperience with software debugging techniques (debuggers, loggers, crash report tools)Experience with analysis of memory issues such as memory leaks using memory analyzers tools (Instruments)Experience in design patterns, MVVM, data structures and algorithms.Experience in unit and integration testing Kotlin code.Good proficiency in Kotlin and Android application architecture.Solid understanding of Android SDK, design principles, patterns and best practices.Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders alike.A desire to work in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.Knowledge on supporting tools like Figma, Charles, Postman.Knowledge of Design patterns and SOLID principles is a plus.Experience in retail industry is a plus.
