This leadership role is responsible for overseeing nursing and designated patient care functions while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care.The Critical Care RN Manager works closely with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to support clinical operations, drive performance improvement initiatives, and maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. This role provides leadership and mentorship to nursing staff while managing resources, staffing, and operational performance across critical care service lines. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations of critical care units, ensuring high standards of patient care, safety, and clinical performanceSupport the Chief Nursing Officer in implementing nursing practice policies, procedures, and performance improvement initiativesProvide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to nursing staff while supporting professional development and competency growthManage unit staffing, schedules, and resource allocation to meet patient care and operational needsCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes and efficient care deliveryServe as a liaison between nursing staff and hospital leadership to facilitate effective communication and problem-solvingPromote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence in professional nursing practiceEnsure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirementsMonitor clinical performance and operational metrics to support quality improvement initiativesRequired QualificationsActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of MassachusettsAcademic degree in NursingMinimum of 2 years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital environment, such as:Nurse ManagerFull-Time Charge NurseClinical Leadership RoleStrong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skillsDemonstrated operational knowledge of hospital nursing environmentsPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (BSN or MSN)Previous experience managing critical care or step-down unitsWork EnvironmentHospital-based clinical leadership role with 24/7 responsibility for assigned unit(s)Exposure to high-acuity and emergency care environmentsRequires periodic standing, walking, and occasional lifting during unit oversightWhy Work With Wheeler Staffing PartnersWheeler Staffing Partners connects healthcare professionals with high-quality career opportunities nationwide.
