If so, we want to hear from you!We are currently looking for an Assignment Coordinator to manage and coordinate the efficient loading and unloading of railcars in our railyard. This role offers excellent growth opportunities and a chance to make a significant impact in the railroad industry.Responsibilities Scheduling and Management:Oversee and manage railyard staff to ensure smooth operations.Coordination: Prepare railcars for loading and unloading; verify unit numbers on inbound and outbound trains. Safety and Compliance: Ensure safety protocols are followed, and equipment is maintained. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Shift Requirements: Must be able to work 3rd shift (overnight) and be available for nights, weekends, and holidays. Weather Conditions: Willingness to work in varying weather conditions. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Windows, PowerPoint, Excel), typing, mathematical knowledge, organization, and time management.Job DetailsAssignment Coordinator is responsible for: Safely performing activities and completing processes related to customer freight for intermodal rail and yard movement. Working in a high-paced outdoor environment, operating various lift equipment (e.g., overhead cranes, side loaders, reach stackers) to manage containers and trailers. Utilizing terminal operating systems for yard inventory and managing remote operations.Required High School diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR). Efficiency and time-management skills. Ability to operate or willingness to learn necessary computer systems. Ability to adjust to changing facility demands and work in all weather conditions. Experience with heavy lift equipment is a plus.Preferred Willingness to work after-hour call-outs and various shifts.
