The Division of Plastic Surgery at Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We’re expanding our clinical, educational, and research programs and welcome candidates who are eager to contribute to this growthAbout the OpportunityWe are seeking surgeons with a strong interest in reconstructive surgery, including but not limited to:Microvascular breast reconstructionCraniofacial surgeryHand surgeryGeneral reconstruction and microsurgeryCandidates must be able to take independent hand and face trauma call.There are several opportunities to shape your practice, including:Providing breast reconstruction services at a nearby affiliate hospitalExpanding our transgender care and aesthetic practiceDelivering clinical care at the Albany Stratton VA Medical CenterQualificationsMD or DO degree (or equivalent)Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residencyBoard-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPSEligible for New York State medical licensureDemonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teachingFellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not requiredAcademic EnvironmentThe Division of Plastic Surgery has an integrated residency program with two residents per year and is actively involved in medical student education and research.
