BJC Medical Group seeks a board certified/board eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at our new practice in St. Peters, Missouri.
Position Highlights
Brand New Suite; Endocrinology also in the building
Large geriatric population in the area – build patient panel quickly
No after‑hours call
Typical week is a four‑and‑a‑half‑day work week
36 patient contact hours per week
Team‑based care model with close collaboration with APPs
Strong support staff; each provider has a dedicated Medical Assistant

Role Purpose
The physician will provide professional medical services within the practicing specialty to the best of their ability through direct patient care and spend additional time as necessary to perform related duties such as completing medical records, providing MyChart consultations, managing in‑basket, conducting patient‑specific education, and collaborating with advanced practice providers and care team members.
Responsibilities
Manage the medical care of patient panel by providing or arranging inpatient hospital care consistent with Medical Staff requirements.
Collaborate with patients, families, and care team to ensure excellent outcomes at designated clinic locations and any BJC clinical outreach location as needed.
Perform and document medical histories and physicals in the patient’s medical record as required by hospital bylaws.
Arrange call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient call coverage per BJC policies, legal, ethical, and professional standards.
Collaborate and teach advanced practice providers, support staff, or any care team member assigned to the patient panel.
Operate as a safety‑sensitive position requiring a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Doctorate in Medicine
Experience: < 2 years
Supervisor Experience: No experience
Licenses & Certifications:
Board eligible or board certified in practicing specialty
Licensed physician
Preferred Requirements
Experience: 2–5 years
