A great UHY client is seeking a Controller to support financial operations and lead accounting integration efforts within a rapidly growing, private equity-backed manufacturing organization. This role will oversee financial processes, drive operational improvements, and partner closely with executive leadership while serving as a highly visible contributor across the organization.The Controller role is a fully onsite position based in Roanoke, AL. This is a permanent opportunity offering strong growth potential, executive exposure, and the ability to build and enhance accounting processes within a “blank canvas” environment during a period of significant expansion.Controller ResponsibilitiesOversee financial operations and support overall business performanceLead integration of a newly acquired entity into the company’s financial systemsEstablish and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsDevelop inventory accounting and costing processesReview financial reporting and ensure accuracy and compliancePartner with executive leadership to provide insights and recommendationsManage and mentor a hybrid accounting team, including onsite and offshore staffDrive process improvements and streamline accounting workflowsSupport system transition from QuickBooks to NetSuiteController RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field requiredStrong foundational accounting experienceAbility to learn quickly and operate in a fast-paced, evolving environmentStrong leadership presence and proactive problem-solving skillsExperience managing or mentoring accounting staffStrong communication and collaboration skillsPreferred QualificationsManufacturing experience, particularly with costing and inventory preferredExperience with NetSuite and/or QuickBooks preferredPrivate equity-backed company experience preferredStrong systems aptitude and process improvement mindsetPositive attitude with a strong work ethic and accountabilityUHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group provides clients with accomplished professionals to support finance, accounting, internal audit and tax teams.
