Job DescriptionHere's why you will love it here:Recognition Programs and RewardsExcellent health care options, including medical, dental, and visionA people-first cultureGo Hilton: Travel Discounts Program Hilton hotel rates worldwide.Perks at work: Employee Pricing platformEmployee Assistance Program that supports your physical and mental well-being.Paid Vacation Time and Paid Sick Days401(k) program with company matchTuition reimbursement programsNumerous learning and advancement opportunitiesAnd more!ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:Lead all aspects of the quarterly and annual provision process, including planning, review, footnote reporting, and analyticsCoordinate and provide technical guidance on ASC 740 and federal tax mattersEnsure compliance with internal control requirementsProvide accurate monthly global cash tax forecasts to the businessManage the federal tax return compliance with assistance with outside advisors, including all required forms and attachmentsPrepare detailed project plans to ensure all internal and external deadlines are metAbility to interact collaboratively across the finance organization, external advisors and auditorsSupport business initiativesLead federal tax auditsDevelop and manage team of direct and indirect reportsConstantly strive and implement process efficiencies and automationOther duties and special projects as assignedQualificationsRequired Qualifications:Minimum seven (7) years of large corporate or public accounting experience with emphasis on ASC 740Four (4) years of leading the federal tax return process, including all required forms and attachmentsWorking understanding of US GAAP rulesComputer proficiency, specifically with MS Excel and MS WordExcellent written and verbal communication skillsIndependent and self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced and intellectually stimulating environmentAbility to research, understand, and document complex and technical tax mattersAbility to initiate and manage collaborative efforts of multiple teams throughout the organizationAbsolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive informationStrong problem solving skills, and ability to identify and prevent potential problemsAbility to interpret the company's books and records and transactional accountingAbility to advocate and implement professional development for self and direct report(s)Bachelor's DegreeExperience with Oracle Hyperion and OneSource is a plusExperience with the hospitality industry taxation is a plusHGV was awarded four out of five stars for fostering a culture of work-life balance and family-friendly benefits, and is one of Newsweek's "America's Greatest Workplaces for Parents & Families."
