The System Controls Engineer will design, develop, and implement control systems for industrial processes and equipment, ensuring reliability, safety, and efficiency. Daily responsibilities include creating and reviewing control system architectures, programming PLCs and motion controllers, integrating robotics and automation components, and performing system testing and validation. The role involves troubleshooting electrical and control issues, collaborating with cross-functional engineering and project teams, and preparing technical documentation, schematics, and reports. The System Controls Engineer will also support commissioning, maintenance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives on-site at client facilities.Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Process Control, including design, implementation, and optimization of industrial control systems.Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Engineering, with experience in wiring, schematics, control panels, and industrial power systems.Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving control system, electrical, and automation issues.Candidates should possess skills in Motion Control, including configuration of drives, servos, and coordinated motion applications.Candidates should possess skills in Robotics, including integration, programming, and safety standards for industrial robotic systems.Relevant qualifications include proficiency with PLC and HMI programming tools, familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus), and experience with SCADA or DCS systems.Additional beneficial qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field; experience in energy or manufacturing environments; strong analytical abilities; and effective communication and teamwork skills.
