As one of America's fastest growing cities, Bakersfield offers affordable housing on the West Coast, beautiful weather, high-quality education and it is just a few hours away from Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks, the Central California Coast and Southern California's great sports, theaters, concerts and amusement parks.Job Summary:Performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife.Job Requirements:Education and Work Experience:High School Education/GED or equivalent: RequiredLicenses/Certifications:Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience: PreferredBasic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) Health Care Provider certification: RequiredSuccessful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP within six months of hire.: PreferredPhlebotomy certificate: PreferredEssential Functions:Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients. Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.Obtains vital signs.
