Phlebotomist

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and professional Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples and other specimens from patients with precision and care, ensuring accurate labeling, handling, and documentation. Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity Accurately identify patients and verify specimen labels in accordance with hospital protocols Handle, process, and transport specimens following established laboratory procedures Maintain detailed records of specimen collection, including data entry into electronic medical records (EMR) or electronic health records (EHR) systems Monitor patient vital signs when necessary and provide compassionate patient care during procedures Follow safety guidelines for infection control, including proper disposal of sharps and biohazard materials Assist with specimen processing and preparation for laboratory testing Communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds, including geriatrics and pediatrics Support laboratory staff by maintaining equipment cleanliness and stock supplies as needed Adhere to all relevant medical terminology standards and laboratory techniques to ensure quality results Requirements Proven experience in medical laboratory work or clinical setting, preferably with laboratory procedures and techniques Certification or training in phlebotomy, with proficiency in venipuncture and blood sampling Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to blood collection Join our team as a Phlebotomist if you are committed to delivering exceptional patient care through precise specimen collection and laboratory support.
