The Sales Associate will welcome and engage customers, learn about their needs, and recommend jewelry and related products that help them celebrate important occasions. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing personalized service, demonstrating product features, processing sales transactions, and handling returns or exchanges in accordance with company policies. The role also involves maintaining product displays, keeping the sales floor clean and organized, assisting with inventory counts, and following loss-prevention and security procedures. The Sales Associate will collaborate with store leadership to meet sales goals, support promotional events, and uphold Signet’s standards for professionalism, integrity, and customer care.Qualifications Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse customers.Sales, retail, or customer service experience, with comfort working toward individual and store performance goals and using basic selling techniques.Clear verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain product features, financing options, and care instructions in an accessible way.Basic math and point-of-sale (POS) skills, with accuracy in handling cash, credit transactions, and related documentation.Ability to stand for extended periods, move between tasks efficiently, and support light stocking or merchandising duties as needed.Reliability and flexibility to work a part-time schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on store needs.Demonstrated integrity, respect for confidentiality, and commitment to an inclusive, non-discriminatory workplace.Previous jewelry, fashion, or luxury retail experience is a plus; willingness to learn about jewelry products, care, and financing programs is required.High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or comparable experience in a customer-facing environment.
