Job Description:The CSTEP and TRIO programs at Farmingdale State College are seeking two dynamic, student-centered Math instructors to lead our Summer Bridge Math Boot Camps. These sessions are designed to refresh foundational skills and bridge the gap for incoming freshmen entering STEM and professional majors.We are looking for one specialist in each of the following tracks:* College Algebra Boot Camp* Pre-Calculus Boot CampResponsibilities:Facilitate a "Boot Camp" style curriculum that targets "stumbling block" concepts in Algebra or Pre-Calculus.Utilize active learning strategies to engage students who may have math anxiety or varying levels of preparation.Provide informal feedback to students and brief progress updates to CSTEP/TRIO program coordinators.Encourage a growth mindset regarding mathematics and STEM academic paths.This position runs two weeks, from July 6 - July 10 and July 13 - July 17, 2026. Incumbents will be required to instruct ten 1-hour sessions, in person, on specific designated days, schedule to be provided upon hire.
