Much of the foundational HR strategy, structure, and core People programs are already in place. This role is focused on operational excellence and consistent execution across hiring, performance management, employee relations, and workforce operations.This is a hands-on individual contributor role with no direct reports. The ideal candidate enjoys improving processes, bringing structure to growing organizations, and ensuring People programs run smoothly and consistently. This role is best suited for a strong HR operator who takes ownership of execution and follows through on details.This role partners closely with the Chief of Staff to ensure HR operations effectively support hiring, retention, operational performance, and employee experience. Due to the nature of supporting an engineering and manufacturing workforce, this role is expected to be primarily on-site to partner closely with employees and managers.About LEAPLEAP is transforming space logistics with rapid-response, mass producible launch solutions designed to eliminate bottlenecks in space access. Leveraging proprietary propulsion technology and modern manufacturing techniques, LEAP delivers scalable and cost-effective, launch solutions for national security, commercial payload deployment, and global point-to-point logistics applications.How You Will Make an ImpactExecute hiring processes in partnership with hiring managers, ensuring strong candidate experience and timely staffing aligned with business needsSupport structured hiring processes including intake meetings, candidate calibration, and selection processesExecute onboarding programs to ensure new hires integrate effectively and quicklyAdminister performance management processes, ensuring timelines, documentation, and follow-through are maintainedManage employee relations matters with sound judgment, professionalism, and proper documentationAdminister payroll and benefits programs accurately and consistentlySupport employee engagement initiatives including surveys and follow-up actionsMaintain HR systems and reporting related to hiring, workforce trends, and People metricsEnsure HR practices align with workplace safety requirements and operational needsIdentify and implement process improvements that increase consistency and scalability of People programsProvide day-to-day HR guidance to managers and employees as a trusted operational partnerWhat You Bring to the Team5+ years of progressive HR experience in fast-paced environmentsExperience supporting manufacturing, technical, or operational workforces strongly preferredDemonstrated tenure of 2+ years in at least one HR role strongly preferredExperience administering payroll and benefits programsStrong employee relations experience including investigations and documentationStrong organizational and project management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and execute with strong follow-throughStrong communication skills across technical and non-technical teamsComfort operating in a hands-on, execution-focused environmentAbility to bring structure while remaining adaptable in a growing companyBonus PointsExperience in aerospace, defense, government contracting, or advanced manufacturingExperience supporting multi-site organizationsExperience improving HR processes in scaling companiesCompensationSalary Range: $95K - $115KThe estimated salary range for this role reflects various compensation factors. The final offer depends on factors such as work experience, education, training, key skills, and business needs.  In addition, LEAP provides a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, which includes:  Equity Program: Equity plan participation is available to all employees following an initial 90-day employment period and is performance-based. Equity allocations are determined on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed. Managers may make recommendations based on individual and team performance.
