Barista
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team at our vibrant café. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Duties
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer orders and handle cash transactions.
Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Uphold food safety standards in accordance with health regulations.
Qualifications
Previous experience in food service or the café industry is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and willingness to help customers.
Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and an enthusiasm for learning about different coffee varieties is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $9.00 - $10.00 per hour
