If so, apply today!Barrett Paving Materials is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator in Jamesville, NY to produce hot mix asphalt and other mixes for road construction and maintenance. The operator will maintain plant equipment, lead repairs, and ensure quality products while working with Quality Control personnelMain ResponsibilitiesReceive and fulfill customer orders for asphalt, ensuring accurate product deliveryPerform preventive maintenance on the plant, including planning, documentation, and recording scheduled maintenance, and respond to mechanical breakdowns or malfunctions in a timely mannerMaintain a clean and organized plant, including the operator's shack, inside and outManage inventory of materials, such as additives, fuel, and liquid asphalt, to meet daily production needsAssist in establishing maintenance budgets and procedures to optimize plant operationsEnsure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and policiesContinuously improve safety and productivity at the facility to maximize efficiency and performanceControls the automated or non-automated production system: contributes to the configuration of the data required for production and implements the control instructions determined by the asphalt plant supervisorEnsures that production runs smoothly: monitors the quality and quantity of production in progress, sets up, operates, and maintains production equipment or machineryReports malfunctions to maintenance teamsComplies with safety, hygiene, quality and environmental instructions: checks components for compliance with tolerances or specifications; may perform finish workCan control the customer loading station: loads the product while respecting quality and quantity, packages, stores, and ships completed goodsSkillsPrior experience in a similar role in plant operationValid New York State driver's licenseStrong mechanical abilityCompensation DataCompensation$22.00- $25.00 per hourOvertime over 40 hours per weekBenefitsComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) matchLife insurance and AD&D coverageAccess to Teladoc and health advocate servicesAnd many more!Colas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
