Cashier/Stocker

Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Cashier/Stocker to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent service to our customers while ensuring that our store is well-stocked and organized. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, basic math abilities, and a passion for retail sales. Responsibilities Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selection. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while ensuring that shelves are stocked and products are displayed attractively. Assist in supervising stock replenishment activities to ensure that inventory levels meet customer demand. Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems effectively for processing transactions and managing sales data. Perform basic math calculations for transactions, returns, and exchanges. Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and enhance the overall shopping experience. Qualifications Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred, particularly in grocery stores or similar settings. Strong phone etiquette and communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing accurate change. Experience with cash registers or POS systems is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to better serve our diverse customer base. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.
