FWS Campus Learning Center Teacher Assist. - Summer 2026
This position is funded through Federal Work Study (FWS) funds. Manager: Judy Knadel Location: Our Savior's Lutheran Church Hours: around 7 hours per week Position Duration: Academic Year and/or Summer Term Position Overview Assists with the care and teaching of children ages 1 to 5. Major Areas of ResponsibilityAssist the toddler and preschool teachers in the education and care of children ages 1-5 years old.Be responsive to the needs of the children during the shift you are given. This includes changing diapers in the toddler room.Complete all thirteen areas of training required by the Department of Social Services, including CPR. Ten hours of training are required every year thereafter.Read and play with children in the different areas during free time.Fill out all papers that allow us to do a background check, including fingerprints, for the Department of Criminal Investigation and the FBI. Required QualificationsMust enjoy children and be patient, loving, and attentive.Must have some previous experience with child care.Three references to testify to your character.High school diploma. Working ConditionsWorking among children ages 1 to 5 in both outdoor and indoor environments.A healthy and safe working environment.
