The candidate must understand the holistic view of the customer, generating new business and managing and/or expanding relationships. We are looking for a confident, respectful person who thrives on challenge. This position will own a business quota and will be responsible for generating opportunities across existing accounts and prospects. The candidate will effectively sell Counterpoint products and expand relationships while positioning the company as the go to brand.Sales territory will be primarily US with occasional opportunities in surrounding American countries.The role will involve completing all sales activities such as:Identify customer pain, understand the business challenges of clients, deliver targeted strategic insights, learn about customers, create and maintain strategic account plans, close business in a timely manner, and fully comprehend our unique value.Complete all sales activities such as:Create proposals for prospective clients.Focus client acquisition: contact and follow-upDeveloping prospects and client profiling: networking and connecting with industry contacts, identifying major decision makers, and establishing relationships.Focus on customer relationship development through building customer rapport: The candidate will maintain close contact with Counterpoint’s clients and complete with post-delivery relations in order.Create new sales opportunities through systematic prospecting, outbound calls and serving inbound enquiries.Drive sales by focusing on serving, retaining, and growing our core clients.Maintain effective working relations with a global team of analysts and sales operations to ensure clients gain maximum value from research relationships.Build sales plans and execute to deliver on revenue goals.Manage all activities related to capturing new business and supporting existing business.Lead potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements and financial options and resolving internal priorities if required. Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.Travel regularly within the territory.Take ownership of the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to contract execution, invoicing, and payment follow-up.Coordinate internally to ensure timely contract drafting, invoice issuance, and accurate revenue tracking.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM (e.g., HubSpot), including deal tracking, pipeline management, and activity logging.Ensure all sales documentation (proposals, SOWs, contracts, invoices) is properly managed and aligned with internal processes.Required Experience and Skills:5+ years of sales experience, in the research or consulting or technology or professional services industry.Proven experience building excellent client relationships, offering value added, insightful and strategic insight into their businessExcellent communication and organization skills (Networking, communicating, listening, interpersonal relationships, and negotiating skills are essential).Sound understanding of the business challenges of technology companies.Knowledge and interest in Smartphones, Internet, Mobile Ecosystems, Tech industry in generalConsultative selling approachAbility to work independently and prioritize effectively and balance multiple, disparate work streams.The candidate should be comfortable in carrying a revenue target.Positive attitude and collaborative approach. Teamwork capabilities are fundamental. Flexibility, initiative, and problem solving are also required.
