Optical Manager
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Optical Manager to lead our optical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail sales and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our clinic, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the optical department, including patient care, sales, and inventory management.
- Supervise and mentor optical staff, providing training and guidance to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history and contact information.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and revenue, using retail math to track performance.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest medical terminology and physiology knowledge to provide accurate advice to patients.
- Work closely with the medical team to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Manage and maintain clinic systems, including Epic and other medical coding systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including HIPAA.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement clinic policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication.
Skills:
- Proven experience in retail sales and patient care, particularly in a clinic setting.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology knowledge.
- Familiarity with medical coding and clinic systems, including Epic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in retail math and inventory management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
