Service Technician (Poultry Equipment)Job Summary:Georgia Poultry Equipment Company, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., the world's leading provider of parts, equipment and turn-key construction to the swine & poultry industries is seeking a Service Technician with excellent customer service skills and experience in electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems to join the team at our Mayfield, KY location.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change.Work with Georgia Poultry customers to understand their repair needsGive customers recommendations on the best parts & equipment available at Georgia Poultry with which their needs can be addressedRepair/replace faulty parts & equipment in area poultry facilitiesProperly bill customers for service work hoursWork with the Georgia Poultry in-store team to manage warranty claimsTake advantage of training opportunities offered by Georgia Poultry Equipment Company and by it's vendorsSkill/Knowledge Required:The ideal candidate will have the following experience/educational background:Ability to use tools associated with the repair of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systemsApproved safe driving recordFamiliarity with the poultry production industry and the poultry producers in the area preferredKnowledge of parts and equipment used in modern poultry production facilitiesAt least 2 years of prior experience repairing and replacing electrical and mechanical equipment is requiredPrior experience working with the systems found in modern poultry facilities (e.g. ventilation, feeding/watering, heating...) is preferred
