As a Lab Tech, you will play a crucial role in conducting various tests and experiments to ensure the performance and quality of products. Worker performs mechanical analyses and tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products. This is a very active position and will require someone with a strong work ethic to keep up.Skills:This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties:Prepare materials and organize for product testing.Assist in laboratory experiments through testing and evaluation of new materials and products based on research.Worker performs optical and mechanical performance tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products.May test or make visual observations on product samples from competitors and communicate test results to the appropriate requester.Worker will conduct hands-on tests with multiple pieces of equipment.Will move, arrange, sort and hang product testing weights (2lbs-20lbs)Basic Qualifications:1 year of experience as Lab Tech or related position.Ability to lift/carry at least 25 pounds.Ability to lift/carry 5-pound weights at high repetitions.Ability to use a ladder/step stool to work from an elevated surface.Have proficient hand eye coordination and manual dexterity .Preferred Qualifications:Strong organizational skills, self -motivated and results driven.Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both written & oral.Adaptability to team needs and working for many individuals in various groups.Prior laboratory or manufacturing experience.Experience use in Excel and Word.Proven ability to problem-solve and implement solutions.Ability to take instructions (verbal and written) and complete a task with little or no supervisionAbout Mindlance:Founded in 1999, Mindlance has been ranked as one of the fastest growing US Staffing firms by SIA for 9 consecutive years.
