About the Role
We are seeking a Mid-Level Tax Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join a collaborative and growing tax practice in the Pacific Northwest. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated federal tax matters, including transactional tax planning and tax controversy, while collaborating closely with partners and senior associates across a broad range of industries.
The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, highly motivated, and committed to delivering exceptional client service in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Advise on federal tax matters, including transactional planning and tax controversy
Support complex business transactions, including:
Mergers & acquisitions
Debt and equity financing
Fund formations
General corporate and partnership tax matters
Assist with renewable energy financing transactions (preferred)
Manage multiple matters simultaneously while working closely with senior attorneys
Draft and review tax-related documents, memoranda, and client communications
Contribute to team success through collaboration, responsiveness, and sound judgment
Required Qualifications
JD from an accredited law school
3–5 years of experience handling federal tax matters
Experience with transactional tax and/or tax controversy
Exposure to corporate finance transactions and general tax issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and project management abilities
Self-motivated with a strong commitment to client service
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with renewable energy tax or financing transactions
Background in M&A, fund formation, or structured finance
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Billable expectation: 1,800 hours (bonus eligibility at 1,850 hours)
