COUNTY OF BUCKS JOB TITLE:REGISTERED NURSEJOB CODE:640DEPARTMENT:Neshaminy Manor/NursingUNION:06FLSA STATUS:Non-ExemptGRADE:640 POSITION SUMMARY :Delivers or appropriately delegates the delivery of patient care and accurate documentation on a nursing unit.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :Responsible for supervising the work of Nursing Assistants.Responsible for the administration of therapeutic drugs to residents.Responsible for the performance of therapeutic procedures (treatment).Interacts with personnel of other departments involved in the therapy of residents.Responsible for utilizing nursing process for nursing care.Interacts with other licensed nursing personnel.Interrelationship with shift supervisor as well as with attending and consulting physicians.Provides a clean, orderly and safe environment for residents.Records patient status.Communicates with residents and their family members or visitors.Defense of Residents' Rights.Supports administrative policies.Completes forms and paperwork.Promptly reports any known or perceived incidents on resident abuse to appropriate authorities.Employees may be required to perform additional work that follows prescribed or well-established procedures that can be learned within a reasonable time by training on the job.
