This role touches all facets of the sales process—from proposal development and client support to campaign execution and stewardship—while partnering closely with Account Executives and internal teams.This is a position designed for high-potential candidates who want to learn the business, build selling skills, and grow into a full-cycle seller with direct ownership of accounts and revenue.Overview & ResponsibilitiesSales & Revenue SupportPartner closely with Account Executives to support active accounts, proposals, and revenue opportunitiesAssist in selling cross-platform campaigns across linear and streaming inventoryParticipate in sales calls (virtual and in-person) to gain exposure to client conversations, needs discovery, and selling strategiesSupport, develop and/or cultivate new business and smaller account opportunities as part of the broader AE pipelineClient & Campaign ExecutionCoordinate campaign execution from pre-sale through post-sale, ensuring flawless delivery and stewardshipArrange make-goods for program changes on all dealsPrepare and update stewardship reports for guaranteed and non-guaranteed campaignsServe as a client support resource for inbound questions and requestsCross-Functional CollaborationWork with Marketing, Research, Promotions, Traffic, and Operations teams to develop tailored sales presentations and solutionsProject-manage all elements needed for campaign launch, including creative assets, tags, approvals, and timelinesEnsure accurate communication and information flow between internal teams, Account Executives, and leadershipSales Development & LearningBuild foundational selling skills including proposal development, account support, pricing concepts, and inventory managementLearn media planning fundamentals and the end-to-end advertising sales lifecycleGain exposure to systems, processes, and tools critical to future Account Executive successWork Schedule: This role is currently hybrid (3 days/week in office) and will return to fully in office (5 days/week) this September.Basic Qualifications1+ years of experience in advertising, media, or sales support (Ad Sales, planning, buying, or agency experience preferred)Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent combination of education and experience consideredPreferred QualificationsStrong desire to build a career in advertising sales and grow into a revenue-owning sellerComfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented sales environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslySelf-motivated, driven, and eager to learnExperience with sales and ad-tech platforms such as FreeWheel, Salesforce, Operative, and/or WideOrbit is a plusStrong working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Google WorkspaceCBS News and Stations, brings together the power of CBS News, 28 owned television stations in 17 major U.S. markets, the CBS News Streaming Network, CBS News Streaming local platforms, local websites and cbsnews.com, under one umbrella. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
