Engineering Support Technician

DescriptionThe Engineering Support technician is responsible for managing and maintaining engineering documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and accessibility across systems. This role supports engineering teams by relieving them of administrative overhead, ensuring documentation integrity, and enabling efficient collaboration across global teams. They will be focused on a backlog of Engineering Change Requests (ECR) ensuring accurate documentation, compliance, and timely execution across multiple systems.Key ResponsibilitiesRelease engineering documents and Bills of Materials (BOMs) in D365 and Bluestar PLM, ensuring they meet Heller requirements and manufacturability standards.Check documents for completeness and compliance with internal standards and industry regulations.Capture documentation issues for root cause analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives.Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams to streamline document workflows and reduce licensing costs through centralized control.Prepare reports and audits to identify inconsistencies and measure performance against KPIs.Skillsengineering change management, engineering change order, engineering documentation, engineer support, change management, design, support, document managementTop Skills Detailsengineering change management,engineering change order,engineering documentation,engineer support,change management,design,support,document managementAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in document control or engineering support roles, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering services environment.Proficiency with document management systems such as D365 and Bluestar PLM.Hands-on experience with SolidWorks, including Electrical, Tube and Routing, and Toolbox libraries.Strong understanding of engineering change processes and BOM structures.Experience with change control processes.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience with Bluestar PLM.Experience in contract manufacturing environments.Experience working within engineering-to-order (ETO) companies.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Florham Park, NJ.Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $54.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
