TEMP Floater Medical Records / Auth Coordinator

Job Description We are looking for someone with a medical background, excellent verbal and written communication skills that takes initiative, works independently, friendly, and is self-motivated.Core Responsibilities (but not limited to)Must be able to prepare and distribute medical records to the appropriate requestors when presented with properly completed medical release forms.Must be able to issue medical files to persons and agencies according to laws and regulations.Must be able to maintain patient confidence by keeping patient record information confidential according to HIPPA.Must have the ability to perform a variety of administrative duties including but not limited to: answering phones, faxing and filing of confidential documents; and basic internet and email utilization.Obtain authorizations/referrals from insurance companies and/or physician offices.Obtain pre-certifications/pre-determinations for patient medication.Qualifications:Experience 1-2 years in medical field.Knowledge of medical terminology and codingAbility to meet deadlines and work well under pressureTeam playerStrong friendly work ethicMultitaskAbility to deal with responsibility with confidential matters.Must be able to provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.Bilingual: Spanish; preferred not requiredONLY CANDIDATES WITH EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDEREDIf you meet the above requirements, please take a moment to share your experience and apply by submitting a resume.Schedule:Part Time/Full Time as neededMonday to FridayWork Location: In personCompany DescriptionSynovation Medical Group aims to restore function and richness to patients' lives, giving them control over their pain and reducing their reliance on medications through collaborative, multidisciplinary pain management programs that are unavailable elsewhere.
