POSITION SUMMARYAs a PORTER, you'll be responsible for performing general housekeeping, sanitation, and drum washing duties across the facility. This role supports cleanliness, safety, and quality standards in all departments by maintaining both indoor and outdoor areas, production containers, and common spaces. Responsibilities include the cleaning and sanitizing of drums and pallets, facility maintenance tasks, and adherence to company policies and sanitation procedures.This position supports all departments with cleaning needs and requires attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively to meet daily and weekly maintenance needs.WHAT YOU'LL DO (OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)Comply with corporate policies and procedures to maintain a clean, safe working environment within the facility and property surrounding the premisesPerform routine tasks on a regular basis in accordance to a Weekly Maintenance ScheduleMaintain adequate inventory of janitorial supplies and equipmentProvide general housekeeping duties in a timely, effective, and professional manner, including but not limited to:Cleaning and sanitizing production containers and palletsInspecting drums for cleanliness, damage, or contamination before and after washingUsing proper chemical concentrations and following protocols to ensure sanitationPerforming manual cleaning (e.g., scrubbing, rinsing) for drums requiring extra attentionCleaning offices, break rooms, restrooms, and common areasDusting furniture, equipment, and fixturesStripping, mopping, and waxing floorsVacuuming and spot-cleaning carpetsTrash removal and window cleaningGrounds maintenanceMoving furniture, appliances, and fixtures as requestedAssist maintenance team and/or service contractors as requiredThis is a service department; you will interact with all departments and supply all cleaning needs in a timely, effective and professional manner.
