Career Services Coach

Job SummaryThe Career Services Coach position is to effectively and strategically provide ongoing career development and employability coaching to active students, graduates and/or alumni through the use of classroom presentations, workshops, one-on-one coaching sessions and professional assessments. The Career Services Coach will work with the Director of Career Services, Business Solutions Consultants, other directors, as well as other Career Services staff to continually assess students' progress throughout the entirety of the program. Additionally, the Career Services Coach will schedule and conduct face to face mock interviews, provide feedback, contact unplaced graduates weekly, provide resume writing assistance and provide job search guidance to graduates. The Career Services Coach is responsible for timely and accurate documentation in CampusVue of all active students, graduates and employer communication. In addition, the Career Services Coach will be responsible for tracking all unplaced graduates including the graduate's employment criteria needs.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct outbound connect activity, as needed, to ensure ongoing communication between graduates and teamProvide guidance to students and graduates and always maintain a high level of professional standardsCoordinate and conduct scheduled resume preparation, interview techniques, job search/research, and other professional development sessionsCollect graduate employment qualifications and criteria to determine the employment assistance path required to be successfully placedProvide availability and opportunities to conduct One-on-One coaching sessions with students and graduatesAssist in proactive job search efforts by providing job leads, resources and online application assistance to generate employment opportunities in addition to working with the job orders received from the Business Solutions Consultants if applicableConduct community and employer outreach to identify viable employment opportunities for students and graduates within their chosen fieldSupport the team's efforts in completing Employment Verification documents and accurate data entry of all information.Maintain organization of student records and processes necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies.Document in CampusVue all correspondence between the department and student/graduateMaintain strictest confidentiality with school information, including but not limited to, regulatory information, student accounts, balances and payment history, exposure to personal information including names, addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, and Social Security numbersParticipate and plan ongoing student engagement activities.Assist with Externship responsibilities when requiredParticipate in various school events as requiredMaster proficiency with MS OfficeOther duties as assigned by managementExperience and Education RequiredAssociate's degree in Business, Human Resources, Communication or a related field from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the Department of Education, or comparable related work experience1 year work experience in recruiting, staffing, human resources, counseling or businessWork experience in developing community connectionsProficiency working with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and OutlookExcellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skillsStrong commitment to customer service and public presentation skillsDemonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external customers and teammatesExperience and Education PreferredBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications or a related field from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the Department of Education1 year experience in career / employability training1 year experience in staffing or career placement1 year of call center experience1 year of interviewing experiencePhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
