Vice President Human Resources
Summary
The Vice President Human Resources provides executive leadership for all HR and compliance functions for this nonprofit organization. This role partners closely with the CEO and CFO to align people strategy, governance, and operational excellence with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership for all human resources and compliance functions across the organization
Oversee benefits, compensation, payroll, leave administration, recruitment, retention, training, and workforce planning
Lead and monitor enterprise-wide compliance programs to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations
Serve as EEO and Affirmative Action Officer and advise executive leadership on regulatory and risk matters
Guide and support accreditation, licensing, and internal audit processes
Partner with executive leadership and the Board HR Committee on organizational strategy and policy development
Supervise HR and compliance team members and foster a collaborative, high-performing department
Manage departmental budgets and financial cost centers
Oversee HRIS administration and evaluate future system enhancements
Drive continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and workforce initiatives
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred
SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
Minimum 15 years of progressive HR experience, including executive-level leadership
Demonstrated experience leading HR functions within a nonprofit organization
Strong knowledge of employee relations, benefits strategy, compliance, and multi-site workforce management
Executive presence with the ability to partner effectively with C-suite leadership and Board members
High integrity, sound judgment, and strong organizational skills
Salary
$120,000 – $150,000 annually
