Accounting Manager (In-Office | NYC) Venture-Backed Consumer Startup | High-Growth EnvironmentWe’re partnering with a rapidly growing, venture-backed consumer products company based in New York City to hire an Accounting Manager. This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the CFO, with full ownership of the corporate accounting function during an exciting phase of scale.This is an in-office position (5 days/week) alongside a collaborative, high-performing leadership team.The Role As Accounting Manager, you’ll lead all core accounting operations and build the foundation for a best-in-class finance function. You’ll work closely with the CFO and cross-functional leaders to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and scalable processes.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the month-end and year-end close processPrepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAPManage general ledger, account reconciliations, and journal entriesOversee AP/AR, cash management, and payroll accountingEstablish and improve internal controls and accounting policiesPartner with external auditors and support audit readinessAssist in systems implementation and process optimization as the company scalesSupport the CFO on ad hoc analysis and strategic initiativesWhat We’re Looking For5–8+ years of accounting experience (public + industry preferred)CPA strongly preferredStrong knowledge of US GAAPExperience in a startup or high-growth environment is a plusHands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced settingStrong systems experience (NetSuite or similar ERP a plus)Why This RoleDirect exposure to an experienced CFO and leadership teamOpportunity to build and own the accounting functionBe part of a high-growth, consumer-focused brand with strong backingClear path for progression as the company scales
