You'll specialize in Science for our middle school scholars. Reporting to the Instructional Coach, you will:Teach Science to 2-3 groups of scholars dailyImplement a research-based curriculumPersonalize instruction for scholars with IEPsCreate assessments and use data to ensure mastery of standardsCollaborate with peers to set data-driven academic goalsCultivate a joyful and consistent classroom cultureCollaborate and co-teach with Scholar Support (SPED) TeachersEngage with scholars and families to build trust and rapportSupport family events and communicate scholar progressContinuously improve your teaching practice through professional developmentIntegrate into the school community and assume additional responsibilitiesBe on campus from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and until 3:00 PM on WednesdayBe willing to take on additional responsibilities as necessary to fulfill Achievement Prep's mission for our scholarsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Education or related fieldTeaching license or passing Praxis scores (if not an education major)2+ years of K-12 teaching experienceExperience in underserved communitiesDesired Qualifications:Master's degree in EducationTeacher leadership experience (grade level lead, department chair, mentor teacher, etc.)You are a mission-driven educator who believes in the power of education.
