Job Title: Infrastructure EngineerLocation: Cold Spring, KentuckyPosition SummaryThe Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the administration, stability, and performance of CPC’s server environments, virtualization platforms, and core infrastructure systems. This role focuses on system uptime, monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery, ensuring that all production systems are resilient, recoverable, and operating efficiently. The engineer works hands-on in both Windows and Linux environments and plays a key role in system builds, restoration efforts, and infrastructure lifecycle management.Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure & Systems AdministrationAdminister and maintain Windows Server and Linux environmentsManage Hyper-V virtualization platforms and host systemsMaintain Active Directory including DNS, DHCP, and Group PolicyPerform system patching, upgrades, and configuration managementMonitoring & PerformanceMonitor system health and performance using tools such as ZabbixRespond to alerts and resolve system issuesIdentify performance risks and implement improvementsEnhance monitoring and alerting capabilitiesBackup, Restore & Disaster RecoveryImplement and administer Veeam or similar backup solutionsPerform and validate backups regularlyExecute system restores including full rebuilds and file-level recoveryParticipate in disaster recovery planning and testingTroubleshooting & Incident ResolutionDiagnose infrastructure issues across hardware, OS, and virtualization layersServe as escalation point for complex issuesPerform root cause analysis and implement preventative actionsInfrastructure Build & LifecycleBuild and deploy physical and virtual serversPerform system migrations and rebuildsManage hardware lifecycle and upgradesMaintain system documentation and run booksTelephony & Network InfrastructureSupport telephony infrastructure platforms and related server environmentsParticipate in infrastructure build-outs related to voice and data systemsCollaborationCollaborate with IT Support and engineering teams to resolve issuesRecommend improvements to system reliability and performanceParticipate in on-call rotationQualificationsAssociate’s degree in information technology or related field or equivalent experience3+ years of infrastructure or systems engineering experienceExperience with Windows, Linux, virtualization, Veeam backups, and monitoring systemsNon-Technical RequirementsStrong ownership and accountability for system reliability and uptimeExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work in high-availability environmentsStrong written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in high-pressure situationsDemonstrates initiative, adaptability, and ownership in managing responsibilities and supporting organizational goalsAbility to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as neededAbility to travel between offices or sites, as requiredCommitment to customer service, quality, and operational excellenceFull Time, Benefits, PTO, 401(k), ESOP
