Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, lobbies, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to keep surfaces pristine Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass doors, and partitions for clear visibility and aesthetic appeal Handle industrial cleaning tasks in specialized areas requiring heavy-duty equipment or techniques Assist with custodial maintenance tasks such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces Support facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate team Use commercial cleaning tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards Participate in routine inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met consistently Support porter duties such as moving furniture or equipment when necessary Contribute to a safe work environment by following safety procedures and using personal protective equipment properly Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings preferred Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care (buffing, stripping, waxing) and industrial cleaning methods Experience with facilities maintenance tasks and basic repairs is advantageous Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers, floor scrubbers, and carpet cleaners safely and efficiently Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards inside and outside the building Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Join us as a Custodian and become an essential part of our commitment to providing clean, safe spaces that foster productivity and well-being.
