EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANT

QUALIFICIATIONS:A valid Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education(IECE) Teaching Certification and appropriateadministrative certification as determined by theKentucky Department of Education, Division of EducatorLicensure and Quality. Successful teaching experience inEarly Childhood setting preferred.REPORTS TO: Chief Early Childhood OfficerJOB GOAL: Assists the Chief with planning, developing, implementingAnd evaluating all aspects of the Early ChildhoodPrograms.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and terms of employment according to approved salary schedules.EVALUATIONS: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the district evaluation plan.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides assistance to the Chief as needed in a variety of situations and areas of responsibility for the Early Childhood Program.Provides assistance to the Chief in preparing state and federal reports for submissionAssists the Chief in managing all financial aspects for the program.Provides technical assistance to both district and local school staff.Provides input to the Chief on evaluation of all district Head Start and preschool instructional personnel.Assists Early Childhood teachers with identification of classroom and program needs.Provides assistance to the director with planning and organizing staff meetings and in developing staff professional growth target and plans.Participates in and contributes to Head Start Policy Committee and Community Early Childhood meetings.Facilitates collection of data for use in program planning and improvement.Encourages and recruits the participation of parents, other citizens, community groups and agencies in early childhood programs.Provides leadership for school-based instructional meetings.Performs other duties assigned.
