The firm was founded by Liz Abdnour and Mark Weiker, after both operated separate students-rights focused firms in Michigan and Ohio, respectively.Our mission is to protect the rights and futures of students and educators. We practice primarily in the following areas: K12 school law and student rights; Title IX investigations, hearings, and litigation; special education law and disability rights; educator and school employee representation; and college student rights, code of conduct, and academic misconduct.Job descriptionWe seek a part-time independent contract attorney to assist with document review, legal research and writing, and client communication. Approximate commitment is 6-15 hours per week depending on project need. You will need to provide your own workspace, technology, and phone number (a Google Voice number is fine).You will have the freedom to complete assignments on your own schedule. You do not need to be located in Michigan.
