Technique is looking for a Parts Support Specialist to join our team at our North Carolina chassis facility. This position is responsible for the accurate sourcing, receiving, organizing, and distribution of parts and components that support chassis assembly and repair operations. The Parts Support Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that technicians and assembly teams have the right parts at the right time to maintain production flow and meet quality standards.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in a parts room, warehouse, or automotive/chassis environment and is comfortable working with inventory management systems. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments are essential. Familiarity with chassis components, mechanical parts identification, and the ability to read parts manuals or schematics is a strong plus.Responsibilities: Parts Receiving – Inspect, verify, and process incoming parts shipments against purchase orders, noting discrepancies and coordinating resolution with vendors or procurement staff.Inventory Management – Maintain accurate inventory levels in the parts management system, conducting regular cycle counts and physical audits to ensure system accuracy.Parts Identification & Sourcing – Use parts manuals, electronic catalogs, and schematics to identify correct chassis components; assist technicians and assembly teams with part lookups and substitutions.Parts Distribution – Pull, stage, and deliver parts to technicians, assembly lines, and work orders in a timely manner to minimize downtime and keep production on schedule.Storage & Organization – Maintain a clean, organized, and properly labeled parts room; ensure components are stored safely and in accordance with facility and manufacturer guidelines.Returns & Warranty Processing – Process returned, defective, or warranty parts and coordinate with vendors for credits, replacements, or repair authorizations.Purchase Order Support – Assist in generating purchase order requests for replenishment of stock items and tracking open orders through receipt.Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with assembly technicians, maintenance, and operations teams to anticipate parts needs and proactively communicate availability or delays.Safety & Compliance – Follow all facility safety protocols, including proper handling of heavy components, hazardous materials labeling, and PPE requirements.Recordkeeping – Maintain accurate documentation of parts transactions, receipts, and inventory adjustments; generate reports as requested by management.Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training in automotive, diesel, or mechanical fields preferredMinimum 1–2 years of experience in a parts room, warehouse, or automotive/chassis service environmentFamiliarity with chassis systems and mechanical component identificationExperience with inventory management or parts management software (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar)Proficient in reading parts manuals, catalogs, and basic schematicsStrong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environmentEffective verbal and written communication skillsBasic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periodsComfortable working in an active manufacturing or service facility environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperaturesReliable transportation and punctuality requiredMust be authorized to work in the United States; this position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship. Technique participates in E-Verify.Position Type and Expected Hours:This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Hours are typically Monday through Friday during standard facility hours.
