Staff Psychologist

As a Staff Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, making a real difference in the lives of those who have served our country.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose and Assess: Utilize your expertise to diagnose mental disorders, conduct neuropsychological screenings (if eligible for privileges), and perform comprehensive psychological and cognitive function assessments.Innovative Treatment: Employ a range of therapeutic modalities to treat mental disorders and provide adjunctive interventions for medical conditions, ensuring comprehensive, holistic care.Psycho-Diagnostic Excellence: Utilize advanced psychotherapeutic techniques to deliver a full spectrum of psycho-diagnostic services and top-notch patient care.Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct thorough evaluations to support psychodiagnosis, treatment planning, and functional assessments, resulting in precise, individualized treatment plans.Diverse Therapeutic Interventions: Lead individual and group psychotherapy, couples and family therapy, consultation, rehabilitation, and psychoeducation, offering a broad range of therapeutic interventions.Active Training Role: Participate in our Psychology Training Program and Training Committee, influencing training standards and outcomes.Consultant and Mentor: Serve as a consultant to medical staff and trainees, assisting in understanding psychological characteristics and setting appropriate treatment expectations.Work Schedule: M-F, 8:00am-4:30pm (some flexibility considered)Qualifications:· U.S. Citizen· Must have a Doctoral Degree in Psychology from an APA, PCSAS, or CPA accredited program· Must have completed an APA or CPA accredited psychology internship· Current unrestricted license from any stateo Unlicensed hires must obtain a full, unrestricted license within 2 years hire date.Benefits:Salary Range: $104,219 - $193,106 (Final determination based on qualifications)PTO: 50–55 days of PTO annually (26/13 days of annual/sick leave, 11 holidays)Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided.Dental, Medical, Life Insurance, Pension, TSP (401K) with 5% match, Survivor BenefitsUp to $1,000 or more annually and up to 5 days paid absence for CMEUp to 4 opportunities annually for free CE training provided by Psychology ServicePublic Service Loan Forgiveness ProgramNo employment contracts or restrictive covenants.· Education Debt Reduction Program reimburses qualified student loan debt up to $200,000This posting represents some of the major duties, responsibilities, and authorities of this job, and is not intended to be a complete list of all tasks and functions.
