Head of Finance

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to lead our finance department. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and in-depth knowledge of banking regulations and financial management.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the bank’s goals. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive management team.Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international banking regulations, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements. Liaise with regulatory bodies and auditors.Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement measures to mitigate them. Oversee the bank’s risk management framework and ensure adherence to risk policies.Investment Management: Manage the bank’s investment portfolio, ensuring optimal returns while maintaining compliance with risk guidelines.Cost Control: Monitor and control costs across the organization, optimizing the bank’s financial resources.Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and auditors.Technology and Systems: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA is highly preferred.Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or CA is desirable.Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior management role within the banking sector.Strong knowledge of banking regulations, financial analysis, and accounting standards.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proven track record of strategic financial management and decision-making.Skills:Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.Ability to manage complex financial operations in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
