The firm offers a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with opportunities to grow and expand your estate planning expertise.Estate Planning and Probate Legal Assistant RolePrepare and revise legal documents, including wills, trusts, tax forms (706s, 709s), and asset lists.Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, legal memoranda, and other communications.Transcribe dictation from voicemails and other sources accurately.Manage incoming and outgoing mail and electronic correspondence.Answer and direct incoming phone calls, respond to general inquiries.Schedule and coordinate conference calls, client meetings, and appointments.Maintain attorney calendars, track deadlines, and manage multiple schedules.Open, organize, and maintain client files, ensuring proper filing procedures.Review and process monthly billing memos and enter attorney time records.Arrange travel and business itineraries as needed.Communicate professionally with clients and internal staff at all levels.E-file documents in federal and state courts as required.Strong filing, typing, and discernment is needed.Estate Planning and Probate Legal Assistant Background ProfileMinimum of five years of legal assistant experience, preferably in estate planning and probateStrong knowledge and experience drafting wills, trusts, and related estate planning documentsProven ability to manage multiple calendars, deadlines, and prioritiesSolid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)Proficiency in electronic court filing systems (Federal and State)Typing speed of at least 80 words per minute706/709, NetDocs, & Orion experience is not required, but would be a huge plusExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong grammar, spelling, and proofreading abilitiesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailStrong filing, typing, and discernment is neededAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a teamDependable, professional, and able to maintain confidentialityFeatures and BenefitsMultiple healthcare and dental plansLife insuranceVision insurance401k retirement planPaid parking
