Company DescriptionCenter Academy is a private school offering specialized classes for middle-and high-school students with learning differences.Role DescriptionDynamic education company is seeking to fill a newly created position. This role is similar to an Associate Superintendent of Education/or support for principals. This person would travel throughout the state of Florida working with our 11 privately owned and operated schools. This person would report directly to the V.P. of Operations & the COO. Please read all qualifications for this role before applying.QualificationsMinimum credentials would include a bachelor’s degree. (Master’s Degree is preferred.)Top Candidates should be proficient in:1. Being extremely organized and able to manage several projects simultaneously.2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide guidance to Principals daily. 3. Managing the day-to-day operations of a school, including but not limited to:a. Dealing with student issues that arise throughout the day.b. Interviewing potential new students –parents and student—with the ability to assess if Center Academy is a good fit for the family.c. Able to support teachers with questions and concerns that arise through the day whether the concerns are with academics or with student behavior.d. Able to solve problems in a fast-paced environment with issues that arise with scheduling, facilities, families, staff, etc.e. Able to quickly adapt from one school campus to another.f. Able to quickly travel the state of Florida to fill in where and when needed.g. Able to administer a variety of assessments to students as needed.h. Able to step into another principal/director’s school and be supportive without being overbearing.i. Able to be fluid and step in as needed in undefined and unknown areas.j. Able to be a team player and great communicator.k. Able to learn and work within the Center Academy methodology and approachPrevious Experience:1. A strong educational background with at least 15 years’ administration with at least 5-10 years being in a private, tuition-based school.2. Working with Middle and High School students as an administrator.3. Middle and/or high school teaching experience in core subjects—history, ELA, math, science.4. Working with or an understanding of multi-grade classrooms.5.
