If you're looking for a meaningful place to grow and make an impact, we want to hear from you!What You Will DoDesign & Develop Tooling SolutionsDesign and modify tooling, fixtures, and workholding solutions supporting metal fabrication, welding, and assembly processesCreate and maintain CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentationDevelop tooling solutions that improve safety, quality, and production efficiencyEnsure tooling meets ergonomic, process, and production requirementsSupport Equipment & Production ProcessesAssist with installation, validation, and improvement of manufacturing equipmentTroubleshoot tooling and equipment issues affecting production performancePartner with maintenance and operations to improve equipment reliability and uptimeSupport preventative maintenance strategies for tooling and equipmentSupport New Product IntroductionContribute to product launches and program productization through tooling coordination and process readinessPartner with engineering and operations teams to ensure manufacturability and launch readinessSupport engineering changes, validation activities, and production documentationHelp establish standardized processes for new and existing programsDrive Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to reduce scrap, improve cycle times, and enhance process consistencySupport implementation of lean manufacturing and process optimization initiativesMaintain tooling standards, documentation practices, and revision control processesParticipate in plant-wide problem-solving and continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate Across TeamsWork closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teamsCommunicate technical solutions clearly across all levels of the organizationSupport training and guidance for operators and technicians on tooling and equipment usageContribute to multi-site alignment efforts when applicableWhat You BringEducation & ExperienceAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field2-5 years of experience in tooling design, equipment engineering, or manufacturing engineeringExperience in metal fabrication, welding, stamping, forming, or assembly environments preferredAutomotive or transportation manufacturing experience is a plusTechnical SkillsStrong proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)Ability to create detailed drawings, assemblies, and engineering documentationUnderstanding of GD&T, tolerancing, and design for manufacturability (DFM)Familiarity with tooling materials, machining processes, and fabrication methodsProblem Solving & ExecutionAbility to troubleshoot tooling and equipment issues in a production environmentStrong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving approachAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentDemonstrated experience supporting continuous improvement initiativesQuality & SafetyFamiliarity with manufacturing quality systems and disciplined engineering executionExposure to IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, or ISO standards preferredCommitment to maintaining safe, organized, and compliant work environmentsWhy Join Us?Health & Wellness: Affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, including an innovative global healthcare option for qualified participants.Retire: 401(k) with company match, fully vested from day one.Paid Time Off: Competitive PTO: 3 Weeks of Vacation + 9 company paid holidays.On-Site Medical Clinics: Free for you and covered dependents.Teladoc: 24/7 access with no copay.Professional Development: Tuition reimbursement, professional development assistance and career growth opportunities.Discounts: Enjoy discounts with HSM partners, including Dollywood Parks & Resort, Verizon Wireless, and more.EEOCAt HSM, we believe that our diversity creates a productive workplace.
